In 1789, Benjamin Franklin expressed his opinion on the subject of tax. He said it was one of only two things in this world of which you could be certain. Well it might be certain, but the late Kerry Packer, some 202 years later, told a Senate Committee “If anybody in this country doesn’t minimise their tax they want their head read”. With the 30th June approaching, it is time for us all to get our house in order.
Once again, the Federal Budget brings more changes to our tax system. Once again, we must digest the raft of information and re-look at our tax strategies. There has been a proliferation of titivating with superannuation, both from a cap on contributions aspect, but also from an administration of Self Managed Superannuation Funds as well.
